Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a Network Support Engineer to join our team in our New Charlotte, NC office

We are currently looking for experienced Network Support Engineer who possess strong consulting, technical and business process knowledge to fill this role. Relevant skills for this position are Windows Server 2008, Windows XP and 7, Exchange 2007 2010, LAN/WAN experience, analysis and documentation.

Tasks that the Engineer will be responsible for are installation, planning and troubling shooting of customer’s line of business applications such as:   

  • Managed Antivirus products
  • Managed Backup software
  • Applications on terminal servers
  • Windows Server 2008
  • Windows Small Business server 2008,2011
  • Microsoft SQL server  2005 - 2008
  • Microsoft Exchange server 2003,2007,2010
  • Fax servers
  • Antispam and email archiving software
  • Windows Server 2003,2008 group policy changes
  • Firewall Installation and troubleshooting
  • Firewall rule changes to hosting firewall
  • Backup planning, design and configuration
  • Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches
  • VMWare and or Hyper V Virtualization experiences
  • Linux  

 



Duties

 Requirements: 
The ideal candidate must have:
  

  • 2 year technical degree or higher
  • Cisco CCNA
  • Current MCSE or MCITP (Microsoft Certified System Engineer) 
  • WatchGuard, Sonicwall or other Firewall certification
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Excellent Customer facing dress and manners (Business Dress not Business Casual)
  • Ability for Day Travel to Customer Sites up to 4 hours away
  • Ability for Day Travel to Columbia SC for meetings

The successful individual will have at least 4 years of experience; 2 years corporate help desk experience and 2 years enterprise network support experience.
